Katie Brockett

Meet Mrs. Brockett, a first-grade teacher with 17 years of teaching experience in both special education and general education. Mrs. Brockett received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Family Studies from Towson University and her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from John's Hopkins University. 

Throughout her career, Mrs. Brockett has worked with a wide range of students, including those with special needs. She has a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with teaching children with different abilities and learning styles. Mrs. Brockett's passion for teaching has led her to develop a teaching style that is inclusive, engaging, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each of her students.

Mrs. Brockett believes that learning should be fun and exciting, and she strives to create a classroom environment where children feel safe and supported as they explore and grow. She is committed to providing her students with the tools and skills they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mrs. Brockett's teaching philosophy centers around the idea that every child has the potential to learn and succeed, regardless of their background or abilities. She is dedicated to helping her students discover their strengths, overcome their challenges, and become confident, lifelong learners.

In her free time, Mrs. Brockett enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exploring the great outdoors. She looks forward to continuing her career as a teacher and making a positive impact on the lives of her students.
