Located in the heart of downtown Frederick, Banner Summer Discovery Camp offers a fun, enriching, and theme‑based summer experience for rising first through sixth graders. Mornings are led by qualified, experienced teachers, while afternoons offer a more relaxed schedule guided by supportive, skilled camp counselors.
Our Early Childhood Summer Program is designed for children ages 3-5 who have not yet completed a Kindergarten program. The program offers the perfect blend of learning and fun for our youngest campers.
All camps maintain a small camper‑to‑counselor ratio to ensure every child learns, grows, and has fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Summer Discovery Camp
The season is organized into five two-week sessions, with flexible week-by-week enrollment. Each week features two distinct themed camps, so your child can choose and explore new interests—from art and theater to science, nature, and global adventures!
We offer half-day and full day options:
Half-Day (Morning): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch Option: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (half-day campers may stay for lunch or arrive at lunch for no extra charge)
Half-Day (Afternoon): 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Full-Day: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Early Childhood Summer Session
Our Early Childhood Summer Program is divided into four two-week sessions, with each themed week featuring engaging, developmentally appropriate activities such as circle time, weather exploration, music, early math and literacy, writing practice, and hands-on arts and crafts.
All campers must be potty-trained before they can attend. Families can choose from a half-day A.M. session or a full-day session.
Our staff are CPR/First Aid certified/AED/Epi-Pen trained and meet current MSDE OCC teacher regulations.

Refunds and Cancellations

Families may switch to a different camp week (tuition adjustments may apply).

A one-time 50% refund is available if canceling within the week prior.
