Banner Discovery Summer Camp
Located in the heart of downtown Frederick, Banner Discovery Summer Camp offers children ages 6-14 a fun, enriching, and theme‑based summer experience. Mornings are led by qualified, experienced teachers, while afternoons offer a more relaxed schedule guided by supportive, skilled camp counselors. All camps maintain a small camper‑to‑counselor ratio to ensure every child learns, grows, and has fun in a safe and supportive environment.
The season is divided into five sessions, each lasting two weeks. Every week features two unique themed camps, so your child can choose and explore new interests—from art and theater to science, nature, and global adventures!
We offer half-day and full day options:
Half-Day (Morning): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch Option: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (half-day campers may stay for lunch or arrive at lunch for no extra charge)
Half-Day (Afternoon): 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Full-Day: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Early Childhood Summer Session
Our Early Childhood Summer Session is a perfect mix of fun and academics. Camp themes incorporate circle time, weather, music, math, reading, writing, and arts and crafts. We enjoy local field trips, cooking, guest speakers, and many outdoor activities. This program is perfect for campers ages 3 through 5 who have not completed a Kindergarten program. All campers must be potty-trained before they can attend. Families can choose from a half-day A.M. session or a full-day session. All participants can also register for before or after care if needed.
Our staff are CPR/First Aid certified/AED/Epi-Pen trained and meet current MSDE OCC teacher regulations.
